Another Venezuelan crowned the most beautiful in the Universe |

24 August 2009 - Miss Venezuela Stefania Fernandez, 18 years old, was crowned Miss Universe 2009 during the August 23 final pageant, picked from among 84 country contestants.
"I didn't think I'd win - I even gave my best wishes to another finalist," she said after her triumph.
Along with the crown, she takes home plenty other prizes, such as a year's stay in a luxury apartment in New York, a scholarship of 100 thousand dollars at the New York Film Academy and a whole wardrobe of designer clothes.
Last year's pageant was won by another Venezuelan beauty, 22-year old Dayana Mendoza from Caracas.
