Scholarship for outstanding Polish students Print E-mail

LUM also launches Polish year

8th December 2009: If you are an outstanding Polish postgraduate student, you can bag a scholarship.

For `Polish scholarship fund’ is being launched for three outstanding Polish postgraduate students at the London Metropolitan University (LMU).

Available information suggests 'Polish Year at London Metropolitan University 2010' will also be launched.

The scholarship fund for Polish students at LMU is the initiative of the Association of Polish Entrepreneurs and Companies UK (APEC-UK).

The chairman of the Association of Polish Entrepreneurs and Companies UK Elizabeth Walker said the aim is to have more scholarships for Polish students, particularly young entrepreneurs at other universities next year.

APEC-UK is a member organisation of the Federation of Poles in GB. The launch comes even as President Lech Walesa expressed his inability to visit the London Metropolitan University due to ill health.

Walesa was to receive honorary Doctorate of Philosophy on 8th December 2009 in recognition of his outstanding contribution to international relations in Europe and the wider world.

The degree was to be handed over at a ceremony scheduled to be held at London’s Barbican Centre.
