Work on to improve the Tube, London Overground, London Tramlink and DLR

Janbuary 2010: Check before you travel on Saturday and Sunday 16 & 17
January 2010, as work is on to improve the Tube, London Overground, London
Tramlink and DLR. As such, TfL is urging all Londoners and visitors to the city to “check before you travel” at weekends, allowing extra journey time where necessary.

As well as from the TfL website (www.tfl.gov.uk/check) passengers can check before travelling via the London Travel Info 24hrs telephone helpline: 0843 222 1234; and information on posters, leaflets and “Good Service” boards at Tube stations.
London Tramlink has no planned work this weekend.
The Bakerloo
line will be suspended on Sunday only between Queen’s Park and Harrow &
Wealdstone due to Network Rail engineering work. Replacement buses will be
operating between Queen’s Park - Kensal Green – Willesden Green –Harlesden -
The Central line has no planned work this weekend.
The Circle line is completely suspended all weekend due to track replacement work. Passengers should use alternative Underground or local bus services.
District
and Circle line
trains will not be stopping at Blackfriars station until late 2011 due to
Network Rail engineering work. Customers for Blackfriars are advised to use

weekend between King’s Cross St Pancras and Hammersmith due to track
replacement work. There is a replacement bus service for local journeys

The Piccadilly line trains will not be stopping at Hounslow East Station all weekend while station improvement works are carried out. A replacement bus will operate between Osterley and Hounslow East.
Archway
station on the Northern line will be closed all weekend for modernisation
work. Valid tickets will be accepted on local buses between Highgate and
Clapham
South and
Warren Street Station on the Northern and
The Waterloo & City line has no planned work on Saturday. It does not run a Sunday service.
Clapham Junction – Willesden Junction London Overground services will be suspended between Shepherd’s Bush and Willesden Junction on Sunday. Valid Overground tickets will be accepted on local bus routes, 220 between Shepherd's Bush Green and Willesden Junction and bus route 228 between Shepherd's Bush station and Willesden Junction.
London Overground services will be suspended between Wembley Central and Queen’s Park on Sunday. Between Wembley Central and Queen’s Park replacement buses will be running calling at all stations.
